I study how people take care of their health and how government policies can help them do so.
My research draws on insurance claims records and survey data from Korea, the Philippines, and Indonesia
to trace how government policies shape preventive health behaviors and who benefits from them.
I also maintain NHIS Data Documentation,
an unofficial guide to the research databases of the Korean National Health Insurance Service.
